The Mount Dora Historical Society relies on a group of dedicated volunteers who serve as docents for the museum.

There also are other volunteer opportunities for shorter term tasks, such as:
•    Helping in the planning and staffing of special events
•    Cleaning and maintaining local, historic cemeteries
